About Me

Brianna Bruyere

MA, RP, CCC

At times, our thoughts and emotions can become overwhelming without applying the proper skills. Exploring narratives that stem from childhood experiences can help gain clarity on present and future projections. Together we will work on unfolding the complexities that lie beneath the surface while highlighting your strengths that have guided you thus far in life.

In my practice, I foster empathy and a safe place for you to share your experiences without judgement. Disclosing sensitive and painful experiences can be a difficult process if barriers are present in the therapeutic relationship. I promote transparency in order to build a relationship with mutual trust and respect.

Each person has a story with unique life experiences, I draw from various therapeutic approaches in order to target your needs and presenting issues.  Therapeutic approaches that I incorporate into my practice are EFT, ACT, CBT, DBT, Narrative Therapy, and Solution-Focused Therapy.

BACKGROUND
After graduating with my Master’s Degree, I began working in a live-in treatment centre for addiction and mental health. At the centre, I primarily worked with females from 13-22 years of age to address their substance use and mental health concerns. In addition, I worked with their parents/guardians to develop parenting skills and provide psychoeducation for mental health.

Prior to this experience, I completed my practicum in private practice. At the centre, I administered assessments and provided therapy to adults and couples. Areas that I focused on were anxiety, depression, mood disorders, relationship issues, family relationships, trauma, and work and life balance.
I am always working on strengthening my clinical knowledge, experience, and training to bring you quality psychotherapy.  Explore my professional affiliation, attended trainings, workshops, conferences, and webinars below.
